Inverted Roof for Maintenance Traffic only.

General
The concrete screed (A) should be free of sharp projections and tapered to falls.
- The upstands should be painted with bitumen primer (B) to a height of not less than 150 mm.
- 45° fillets (H) should be fitted against all upstands in order to avoid having to bend the membrane through 90°.
- Loose lay a layer of Roofstar 40200 (C) but torch onto the perimeter and upstands to a height of 150 mm above the maximum expected water level. The sheets should have 80 mm longitudinal laps and 150mm transverse laps which should be fully torched.
- Torch on a layer of Dermaflex 40160 (D). The laps should be 80 mm longitudinal and 150 mm transverse and should be staggered in relation to the laps of the underlay.
- Loose lay the insulation board (E) which should have a closed cell structure so that it will not absorb water.
- A layer of non-woven bitumen free polyester (F) should be laid over the insulation with laps of about 5 cm.
A layer of round gravel (G) 4 to 5 cm deep should be spread on top of the polyester layer (E) to act as ballast.
